Focusing on ensuring you have an up to date airforce and an up to date ground force will help you more than ensuring that you have adequate coverage.
XENONAUTS BASE BUILDING IMPROVE RELATIONS UPGRADE
You will have to grind ground missions to get funds but setting extra bases isn't helpful unless you are doing ground missions to get the tech required to upgrade your airbases. It costs quite a lot to have 3 labs but its worth it since more labs equals better explosives early which equals easier air combat. This playthrough might already be on a bad course but I'll keep playing for another month and see how far I get. build enough workshops to have 45 engineersĪh, so that's how you do it, but isn't it really expensive to get so many labs at the same time? Do you still have the funds to start another base in this case? So far I kept only one lab on each base, getting the other one up and running in late October. build enough labs to have 45 scientistsĢ. Originally posted by Mr.Kill:Immediately when game starts:ġ. So what is your strategy to keep the Xenonauts force on equal ground with the alien invadors? So far I've haven't encountered anything bigger than a corvette, which a succesfully take down with either 2 Interceptors or 1 Interceptor and 2 Condors but already I'm having trouble fighting waves of 3-4 corvettes at each base. I have only lost 4 soldiers and one condor so far (I usually reload if the RNG is being a huge ♥♥♥) so most of the money went on expanding my forces.īut even though everything goes very well, I feel like I'm already behind in terms of weaponry and force size, on each wave of aliens ships I have to make multiple RTBs letting the aliens wreak havok in the meantime. I don't think I've missed any alien ship that appeared on my radars and only a few have fell into the sea. Right now I'm fabricating the first batch of laser rifles. But I feel like I'm making the same mistakes again, it's Nov 12th and I've played my first terror mission with firearms and Jackal armor I have 2 bases both with (2 interceptors, 2 condors and 1 transport) and a third one being under construction. I'm currently on my second playthrough after a few months of pause since my first attempt when I stopped because I was severely outgunned by the aliens.

Which techs do you research first, how often do you build a new base, do you focus at first on armor/weapons/planes? How do you manage your forces, how many planes do you send for different types of enemy ships? I'd like to hear what are your priorities while progresing through the game.
